Greetings Delegate!
Welcome to the MUN 101 Webinar! My name is Rio Putra Hadivatama, a Final Year Economics Student from Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia, taking International and Financial Economics as my concentrations while currently finishing my undergraduate thesis. Before this, I’ve had a long and life-changing journey being a delegate in numerous MUNs since 2017, either as delegate or chair, thus being able to experience all bittersweet memories, as well as the process that has been humbling me so much.

Khilola Mustafoeva is an 18-year-old MUNer from Uzbekistan. She has been actively involved in MUN conferences for the last 2 years. She has been selected as the winner of many competitions so far such as English Competency National Contest and Country Representative. She is a young activitist and feminist who tries to achieve gender balance in her society and beyond. Her life motto is “To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded”. She wishes all MUNers to get the best experience and apply all of the things they learned in real UN conferences and life.

Meet Irsan Efendi! Currently pursuing his degree in International Relations Universitas Padjadjaran. He put his minor in International Law, conflict resolution, gender, and global issues. He have joined several MUNs both as delegate and chair, He perceive MUN as a platform not only to grow substantially, but also to grow as a person. For his spare time, you will find Irsan reading or browsing things, he is also an avid coffeeholic. Start the conversation with puns then you will get along with him.

Sasqia is a final year student in International Relations, University of Indonesia. She has won several awards in international and national MUN such as honorable mentions in Singapore MUN 2018, Best Delegate in Indonesia MUN 2018 and JavaMUN 2018. Her success in MUN has led her to many opportunitues such as becoming Jakarta’s official delegate in Beijing Sister City Youth Camp 2018 and internship opportunities in world big 3 management consulting firm, Boston Consulting Group. As she has competed and chaired more than 15+ MUNs throughout her career, she believes that MUN is a great start for everyone not only to better and develop themselves to greater good, but also to master your social and emotional intelligence as well.

Hailing from Jakarta, Jose is an undergraduate student of International Relations, in which he is interested on the political and security studies (even he loves low-political council). Aside from MUNs, Jose is a person who loves movies and eating especially Beef Yakiniku in which he perceived as a bowl of his happiness. Starting his MUN journey in late 2018, until now he had already been to 12 MUNs, one value he strives for the best delegate in MUN should not only be able to demonstrate substances excellences and punctual diplomatic manner, but also able to empower their council to achieve beyond the measured targets. He was awarded as the best delegate of Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) 2019. With this letter, he encourage to every future leader to learn Model United Nations (MUN) together. Mariona is a BA graduated in Translation and Interpreting at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain), currently in her last year of a Master's degree in Conference Interpreting at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, as well as in her second semester of a Bachelor's degree in International Relations at the Open University of Catalonia. She has always been passionate about diplomacy and international affairs; but, above all, she is highly concerned about human rights and peacekeeping. These interests led her to begin volunteering as a translator at the NGO “Initiatives of Change International”, which she has been done since March 2017. She discovered the MUN world that same year and, ever since then, she has attended several international MUNs as a delegate, being the last one the Catalonia Model of the United Nations (C'MUN) 2019, where she was awarded a Best Delegate Award at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation's committee. Her participation in MUNs as a Chair is very recent, having been her very first experience WebMUN 2019 (Vienna, Austria), chairing the European Council. Mariona is actively involved in inner simulations at UNSA Barcelona, participating as a mentor to new members, as a delegate or as Chair. She is looking forward to meeting you all and sharing her MUN passion with the rest of the online session at MUN 101 WEBINAR!

Anna is a 20-year-old student of International Business Economics at Pompeu Fabra University. She has been interested in international affairs and relations for a long time and this is why she joined UNSA Barcelona her first month at university. Anna has participated as an awarded delegate in several MUN, including C'MUN 2018 and MilMUN 2018 and 2019, where she got the Honorable Mention for representing the Russian Federation in the UNSC. Anna has chaired several internal MUN simulations at her university and she is really looking forward to share her enthusiasm with all the delegates in the committee during AIYMUN 2020. Furthermore, she is deeply involved in the organisation of UNSA Barcelona's society and has been a whole academic year in charge of managing the social networks of the association. Finally, as a fun fact, in her free time she loves to disconnect by dancing, either on his own or by teaching ballet..

Benjamin Alford is a graduate of Sciences Po Rennes (France) who has recently began working at the Banque de France. Born in the UK, but raised in France, Benjamin has always had a keen interest in international affairs. He was part of the 2017 SPRIMUN's Secretariat and has taken part in multiple MUNs in Edinburgh, Rennes, and Prague, first as a delegate, before turning to chairing last year, where he chaired two UN Security Councils. He is looking forward to meeting you all at this summer's AYIMUN where he hopes debates and memorable moments will be of plenty.

Akanksha Mishra is pursuing her masters in Statistics from the University of Lucknow. A graduate of mathematics, her practical and reliable approach to life is what stands her out from the crowd. A well disciplined and a person who strongly believes in her intuition , she is the most humble person you will come across. Having plenty no of MUNs in her kitty, She recently chaired the Interactive Dialogue on Gender Equality of India’s first Sustainable Development Summit – UYC SDS at Thiruvananthapuram. A person known for her very accommodating committees, she is definitely the person you don’t want to miss acknowledging.

Md Shakhawat Hossain known as Shuvoraj, is a Computer Science graduate from Universidade de Macau. He started to engage in MUN & MEU (Model European Union) through Macao Model United Nations Association (MUNA) and Jean Monnet Programme under European Union Academic Program (EUAP). He was awarded outstanding delegate award two times in a row by EU Academic Programme & Erasmus+. Since then, he has joined several MUNs, MEUs and Model European Commissions both as delegate and Chair at home and abroad. He served as an active member of Public Speaking U-Team during his university life and represented Macao in several competitions and events and engaged in student chapter of Toastmaster International as well. Shuvoraj has been trained by Global Youth Leadership Network (GYLN) and the Peter Lougheed Leadership College of University of Alberta. He is also a member of AIESEC China and worked for promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He acted as the Vice President of International Students Association (ISA) in Macao and was a former Vice Minister of Macao Model United Nations Association. He gained the Google Trusted Photographer recognition for his outstanding contribution back in 2017. In addition, he is the current Global Youth Ambassador of an UK based non-governmental organization. Their World and worked as the United Nations sponsoredHult Prize Campus Director in previous years.

Vi­ctor Arribas Marti­nez is a Spanish-born undergraduate student in Paris. He reads the Dual Degree between Sciences Po and University College London in European Social and Political Studies specialising in Economics and Societies. He has been engaged in the European and North American MUN circuit since 2014 as delegate, chair and member of the Secretariat. Most recently, he was Assistant-Secretary-General of Paris International MUN in 2019 and is currently serving as Substantive Director in NHSMUN, the largest student conference in the world organised in New York City. Apart from international affairs, economics has always been one of these passions; he is the founder of MEI – Model of Economic Institutions, the first complete simulation of economic affairs in MUN history that will take part in Madrid, Spain, in 2020. He is a member of the youth leadership network of Banco Santander, Becas Europa, and has experience working in Think-Tanks, research and education. He speaks Spanish, Portuguese, French, English and Italian and is currently learning German.

Anna is a 20-year-old student of Political and Administration Sciences and Law at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Her passion for International relations brought her to become the president of the United Nations Students Association Barcelona. She has participated in several MUNs all around Europe and now she serves at AYIMUN 2020 in Malaysia as the Secretary-General of the conference. She also works in an enterprise specialized in evaluating projects of international development and co-development cooperation and public policies, where she has mainly worked in areas related with migrations and migrant rights as well as natural resources' exploitation in African countries.
